Alaska has no state property tax. Boroughs, cities and unified municipalities levy it under Title 29, chapter 45 of the Alaska Statutes, and much of the state levies none at all. Each place sets its own due dates and its own exemption deadlines, so the rules marked statewide only apply where a property tax exists. The one fixed rule worth knowing: you have 30 days after your assessment notice is mailed to appeal.
