New Mexico property tax deadlines
10 sourced dates. 33 of 33 New Mexico counties have at least one.
New Mexico sets its payment dates in state law (NMSA chapter 7, article 38), and the county treasurer bills around November 1. You pay in two halves, and each has a month of grace before interest starts. Protests and most exemption claims are due 30 days after the mail date printed on your Notice of Value, so that date moves by county and year. If you miss the protest, your only route is a refund claim in district court.
